In Redu, we love doing things in an original way. The didactic museum Mudia follows this principle with a refreshing vision of art and an interactive collection, all in the middle of the village of books.
Enter this old village house as a family or among friends, to browse through seven centuries of creativity and emotion.
Mudia presents ‘art in another way’, with a dynamic, playful and interactive approach and over three hundred original works of art and reproductions… that are original in their own way.
Over the floors, you’ll explore more than fifty artistic movements, enabling you to follow the development of art through History. Painting, drawing, sculpture, cartoons, photography and animations – the media vary for everyone’s enjoyment.
A real museum for children as well
What sets Mudia apart from traditional art centres is that you can have fun in the museum. You’ll be invited to pose like a model or paint an impressionist picture with the dot cannon. You’ll be kept in suspense by the digital games, quizzes, curious stories and interactive works, like the impressive triptych by Jérôme Bosch (certainly the high point of the visit). An audio-guide for kids also enables them to tour the premises with total independence.
Mudia is therefore a wonderful introduction to art, where everyone can get to know the big names (Brueghel, Rodin, Picasso, Modigliani, Giacometti, Magritte, Hergé, Franquin, Geluck, etc.) at their leisure.
